Sunday Times Best Places to Work: 2024

TL;DR

Ikigai Digital are proud to announce that we have been recognised by The Sunday Times as one of the best places to work in the UK in the Best Places to Work: Small Organisations 2024 category. This award showcases and celebrates Britain’s top employers focusing on six key drivers of engagement: Reward and Recognition; Information Sharing; Empowerment; Instilling Pride; Job Satisfaction; and Wellbeing.

Our CEO Andy Farmer said: “At only 3 years old an award like this is pretty amazing. At our young age we are successful if most of our people are spending their time on clients. Building your own company culture, supported by your own values is incredibly difficult when 100% focus is on customer success and on top of this we are a remote organisation. However, we are starting to set a new standard for what a great place to work looks like. We set an extremely high bar for people who want to join Ikigai, it's hard to get in. A core value of Ikigai is Mastery. Most of the team are not traditional consultants as most join from a previous endeavour of building a new bank and are close to being masters at their own field. This is what sets our people and business apart from other consultancies. Our focus is narrow but deep. For those that do get to join us their reward is not only a great package but also a place to work that is getting better and better.”

Craig Felston, Head of People, said: “We've built an organisation anchored on Ikigai beliefs, and 3 core factors; having a sense of purpose in life, and in Ikigai, life is our real lives - personal and professional. Secondly, it's about doing something you are passionate about and are good at and finally we believe what we do and how we do it makes a difference in peoples’ lives. Our values shape our identity and the culture at Ikigai and It’s both our operating system and what we stand for. We couldn’t call ourselves Ikigai Digital without having our own Ikigai.”

We are delighted to win an award that is driven by employee feedback, this makes it even more special and signals we are doing some really great things for our people. Ikigai Digital is known for its people who are really good at what they do and it’s important we create a culture where they can continue to grow into the very best at what they do and want to do, become masters..

As Ikigai Digital is a remote organisation with a workforce in 9 different countries, it’s important to highlight that even though this award only recognises the UK-based Ikigai’ers, we strongly believe that no matter where our Ikigai’ers are based, everyone has the same experience. We continue to work hard in creating the best remote working environment across all regions. We are deeply committed to fostering a supportive and dynamic workplace culture that empowers our team members globally.
